With over 20 years’ experience in workforce development, human resource training, diversity training and management, Dr. McPartland is a Certified Workforce Development Professional, Certified Health Education Specialist and Certified Grant Specialist. The recipient of numerous state and national awards for excellence in the field of cultural diversity training and workforce development, Dr. McPartland serves as the Executive Director of the Association for Workforce Alternatives, Research & Development, Inc. (AWARD). She is founder of the Institute for Cross-Cultural Competence, and former Executive Director of Southeastern Massachusetts Area Health Education Center. She has been instrumental in bringing extensive programming in cultural diversity for healthcare and human service professionals for close to a decade. Guided by the philosophy of seeing and developing the potential of each individual, Dr. McPartland utilizes the principles of action learning and adult education to tailor programs for health and human service agencies, educational institutions and businesses.
